Dioptra at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks 2025
In March 2025, Dioptra consortium representatives from Catholic Relief Services, International Rescue Committee, and Mercy Corps participated in the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks, in the panel session “Maximizing impact: making humanitarian action more cost efficient”.
They highlighted the importance of cost analysis and interorganizational collaboration to learn interesting lessons about the cost-efficiency of humanitarian programs. Cost data and cost evidence can maximize the impact of every dollar by enabling quick, grounded cost estimations and promoting cost-efficient modalities.
About 40 people participated in-person and online, raising important questions such as how might cost evidence be applied in different context scenarios, how might cost analysis help NGOs understand the factors that drive costs, and how might cost analysis be used in crises when quick decisions need to be made.
